Easter just couldn't have been any sweeter. My Mom (Ya Ya) created a special evening for our family. From the gooey marshmallow chicks to the Easter bunny treats hidden throughout her home, it was amazing! Thanks for the memories Mom.

Glowing
It's always special to go to the Compton home for a glimpse of how sweet life can be. Walker will be a big brother soon and I'm not really sure if he is ready for little sister to be in the spotlight just yet. It reminded me so much of when Mary Rose first saw Reid, then completely ignored him as if he was going away.
I have a huge connection with Kristin, in fact, she helped me birth baby Reid in the hospital. One of my most caring friends, and her compassion is beyond belief.
The kitty cats in these photos resemble a time of long ago. A time when the cats were the 'babies' of the family. Ah, how life changes. I am so happy for them to welcome a little girl to their world. Real. Life. Love Abounds.

Thunder, Lightning, and A Crazy Night at the Beach
We were tucking our children in for bedtime and heard the rain begin. It really seemed pretty normal until the high winds, hail and tornado warnings began. Then the power went out and I found 3 flashlights, all of them had no batteries. I scrambled to find some matches and had candles galore around the beach house. The lightning was UNBELIEVABLE. Scott and I had never seen it like this before. There was so much that the sky stayed light outside. I needed a breather from wandering what we were going to do. The kids were sleeping thru this crazy storm so I decided to photograph it. I took my camera into the highest part of the home. (It was a loft) I had a blast playing around with this one, since I don't usually photograph storms.
Needless to say, I got carried away and spent a large majority of the night trying to capture this wild night. Dragging my camera speeds never felt so good! The first one is my favorite because you can actually see the rain. All of these photos were taken late in the evening.

My. Real. Life at the beach
Before the wedding season begins, our family is taking a restful vacation at the beach. We love Charleston and so do Mary Rose and Reid! I took my camera to the beach today, just getting some images of what our kids do best~ PLAY!
Scott and Mary Rose played in the ocean and jumped the waves. I hope this weather stays. It's so wonderful to soak up the sun and watch Mary Rose chase the birds on the beach. My life viewed simply, and honestly thru my children's eyes...

Family Time
I just can't get enough of the Webbs! I really enjoy capturing this family because they make my job very easy. The love just pours out and am there to document the whole thing. We focussed a lot on their new baby, Grace. I just couldn't resist some other images of the family. I am very blessed to photograph this kind of happiness. Can't wait to see you guys again soon.

Elly, Missy and new baby soon!
Missy is due to have a baby girl any day now. We thought this would be the perfect time to get some cool shots to remember what life was like before the second child came along. Bittersweet! I know Elly will love her new little sister. What a blast!
Elly is one of the most fun-loving kids to work with. She just wanted to show me all of her neat games and books. I can't wait to go back in a week or two, to get newborn images. Good luck Missy & Jeff! This should be super sweet!

Luellas BBQ~ Taste the Love!
This photo shoot made me so hungry. Jeff, owner of the amazing Luellas BBQ, was busy cooking while I got all the shots.
He will use my photographs for print/advertising purposes and for his rockin' new website. My purpose was to capture the real 'feel' of Luellas. Simple and tasty. The food wasn't quite ready so I will get those next time. I highly recommend 'Nana's deviled eggs' and the famous 'Cobb Salad.' Visit Luellas

My. Real. Life.
Every day I wake up and look at these adorable faces. I take care of them, hold them, feed them, love them. I really enjoy being a Mom, and taking the afternoon to get some images that will hopefully capture these precious times. Baby Reid is so much like my husband. I love his personality. Laid back and SWEET, SWEET, SWEET! Mary Rose is curious, excitable and amazing.
