I am thrilled to announce my acceptance into the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association. It is a huge honor and dream of mine. The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA is comprised of outstanding wedding photographers, who are at the forefront of the wedding photography industry when it comes to cutting edge images. The chief objective of the [AG]WPJA is to provide members with a platform where the finest enhanced wedding photojournalism in the world is spotlighted and promoted for the bride and groom. This organization is just what I want couples to know about wedding photography in today's world. It can be fresh, real and spontaneously beautiful. Thanks AGWPJA!

Ginna and Charlie

Cashiers, North Carolina is one of my favorite places in the world to shoot. Ginna and Charlie planned the most amazing event complete with everything a girl could ever dream of. I loved this couple from the very beginning. The engagement session we had over 7 months ago really helped me get to know how great they were on a personal level. Ginna's mom, Nancy, has been a big part of what lead to the most emotional wedding on the books to date. It was supposed to thunderstorm, but it didn't. Instead, the sun came out the minute they took their vows and all was right with the world. Ginna's close relationship with her Mom and Dad made this wedding a bittersweet 'letting go' which was a special honor for me to capture.

Laurie & Mick Tie the Knot

Lauren and Mick had the sweetest wedding at the Basilica St. Lawrence in downtown Asheville. I love this landmark, and all that it has to offer. I not only got married there almost five years ago, but I truly appreciate the architecture and magnitude of the whole thing. Their ceremony was complete with a full mass and it couldn't have been more beautiful. Lauren was worried about the weather, but the sunshine came out for us by the end of the evening and we were able to get some cool outside images of the newlyweds. Erica and Josh

I spent the day nestled in nature with Erica and Josh. We connected immediately and I loved working with them. They were up for all the cool places to see at the UNCA botanical gardens. Their June wedding is approaching quickly. I'm excited their cool Doberman will be making his appearance at the wedding, with full tux attire. Stay tuned for those images soon!

The Olinger Birthday Bash!

Our family went to the largest double birthday bash in history! The Olingers have been clients/friends for over four years now, and the bond we have just keeps getting stronger. Little Sophia turned one and her Daddy turned the big 40! Sorry to blog about this one Kyle. There were about 15 children celebrating with cupcakes and playing non-stop. Scott and I treasure the future special events with you guys. I hope to 'capture' our children for all of these unforgettable times.

Stephanie & Patrick Soak up the Sun!

I love the SUNSHINE on these two! Stephanie & Patrick are the perfect couple, completely at ease. It made my job amazingly easy. I know their July wedding will have the same magic. The UNCA Botanical Gardens offered lots of options for us. They are an 'outdoorsy' couple so these images were real. life. I will be shooting Stephanie's bridal portrait soon so stay tuned for more.

My new space at the exclusive STUDIO WED!

The grand opening of Studio Wed was packed full of people, food and a rockin' DJ! I am proud to have been chosen as one of Asheville's top five photographers, therefore allowing me exclusive membership in Studio Wed. It's one-stop-shopping for brides to find all the vendors needed for their event. It's brilliant, and I would expect nothing less from the founders, Nicole Riley and Jennifer King.
